Who We are
We are a Cheerleading team based in Manchester, England who compete in Pom. The team was founded in 2004 as Thunder cheerleaders winning several competitions. Later adding Blizzard and Storm cheerleaders before rebranding into Firestorm with over 60 cheerleaders training at the Swinton location.
Firestorm offer classes for all ages and levels and we train on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at the Swinton location (see timetable).
NEW FOR SEASON 15: Due to high demand, we are opening up a second location of Firestorm based in Blackley, Manchester. We are so excited to get started and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
No previous dance experience is required to join at any of our locations, and there is a place for everyone here at Firestorm, just turn up and have fun. Your first class is free!

Sarah Aldcroft is the head coach and Founder at Firestorm Cheerleaders. She has been coaching for over 15 years and holds multiple qualifications including ICF/UKCA Levels 1, 2, 3 & 4 (including stunts, tumble/dance); UKCA Urban Cheer Level 1 & 2 and Building from the Ground Up Pom & Jazz. Sarah oversees all coaching at Firestorm and she also dances on our Masters pom team.

Leah has been coaching at Fiirestorm since 2017 and holds a UKCA Level 1 & 2 (including stunts, tumble/dance) coaching qualification. She currently coaches Twisters and Blizzard at firestorm while also dancing on our International Open and Masters Pom teams!

Jenny has been coaching at Firestorm since 2017 and holds a UKCA Level 1 & 2 (including stunts, tumble/dance) coaching qualification. She coaches Sunshine, Whirlwind and Twisters while assisting with all other teams. Jenny also dances on our International Open and Masters Pom teams.

Megan has been coaching at Firestorm since 2022 and holds a BGU Pom, Jazz and Lyrical qualification. She assists on coaching the teams and focuses on the choreography side of teaching whilst also dancing on our International Open Pom team.
